Do you find camera equipment and photo software so complex, with so many
options it's overwhelming trying figure out how to use them? If so, I'd be happy help you out.

In my photo workshops and scenic shoots I explain some of the best camera settings and most effective
Photoshop tools to know so you can take great pictures. We'll proceed at a pace you feel comfortable with.
I can explain everything from getting ready for a shoot to preparing pictures for various forms of presentation.

I work with photographers of all levels who use a wide range of gear.

I teach a variety of ways you can improve photos and even correct a host of problems that may be keeping pictures from working. I help photographers with a wide range of equipment get comfortable and more adept operating their gear and doing post-processing work so they can create beautiful photos. I explain how to determine if you should be shooting camera raw or jpg files, show how to prepare pictures in the different sizes and formats needed for print and the internet, share free photo tips and if you want to delve in deeper, I teach a workshop where I demonstrate ways Photoshop and Lightroom can be used in combination to achieve stunning results.

During portfolio reviews and photo critiques I can give you with valuable feedback about your work, help with editing photos for presentations, online galleries and elsewhere. I can also share winning tips for submitting photos to contest, galleries and exhibits by drawing upon my experience widely showing my work and judging and organizing several photo contests.

I take people on unique scenic, private tours and photos shoots to beautiful spots in and around Sedona. I know the area quite well after exploring it for over 20 years. We visit little known spectacular landscapes, off the beaten path locations,
extraordinary archaeology sites, sacred sites and other places of interest.

When I work with photographers, no matter their skill level, it speeds up their leaning curve and the quality of the pictures they take. I bring to the table my extensive background as an award-winning, fine art and commercial photographer as well as my experience teaching at San Francisco Art Institute, California College of the Arts, Sedona Arts Center, Sedona Photofest, to numerous photo clubs, online and elsewhere. I love teaching. The time I spend with my students it is inspiring for both them and me. TAKE YOUR PHOTOS TO THE NEXT LEVEL &
FIX PICTURE PROBLEMS WITH PHOTOSHOP & LIGHTROOM

Monday, March 3, 2014 • 10:00 - 5:00

Sometimes when you take pictures lighting conditions and other circumstances keep what might otherwise be a great photograph from working. Details get lost in highlight and shadow areas, the sky is washed out, unwanted elements or people can't be avoided, there's too much contrast, an image isn’t sharp and other challenges occur, which stop you from taking photos or you decide to delete them. Luckily many of these problems can be fixed in post-processing and/or by the kinds of exposures you take. In this workshop I'll help you recognize whether or not a picture can be salvaged and ways to go about doing so. Using participant's photos I'll demonstrate several ways you can correct images with certain of my favorite Photoshop and Lightroom tools. Some prior knowledge of either or both applications is recommended for attendees. If possible, please bring a laptop with Photoshop and/or Lightroom installed and photos to work on. Free 30 day trial versions of these apps can be downloaded from Adobe.

Cost: $165
