SEDONA PHOTO SHOOT WORKSHOP WITH SUSIE REED

Go on a photo shoot at Sedona’s scenic Airport Overlook and other locations with critically acclaimed photographer Susie Reed who’ll provide photo tips, talk about camera settings, what types of files to shoot (jpg or raw), composition, exposure adjustments, how to create artistic photos and more. Students are certain to be inspired by stunning views and Reed’s insightful instruction. With over 30 years experience as a fine art and commercial photographer Susie Reed has a lot to share about how to take good pictures that can help photographers improve their work. This is a unique opportunity to take photos in the field with a seasoned professional by your side to answer questions.

Participants will meet at the Sedona Arts Center South Classroom in the Gallery Building. Please wear hiking boots or shoes with good traction. Moderate hiking is involved. Please bring your camera, the manual and if you have them extra lenses, a polarizing filter and a tripod (optional). Also please bring water and a light snack.

Susie Reed's pictures have been in major museums and galleries, in numerous publications and on an array of products. She's taught at California College of the Arts and San Francisco Art Institute, where she received her degree with honors in photography. Some of Reed's photographs of prehistoric rock art are permanently dislpayed in Sedona Visitor and Information Centers through the generosity of a Sedona Arts and Cultural Commission Artist Project Grant. Many of her pictures of rock art and archeological sites are in the Coconino National Forest Archives. In addition to loving photographing ancient rock art and dwellings she also enjoys taking pictures of people, landscapes, flowers, vineyards and Farmer's Markets.
